    Join us for education and networking that will be great for supervisors, managers, HR professionals and business owner to attend. 

    Jessy Bonds, Esq., Employment Law Attorney, from Employer's Council will be speaking on "Wyoming Employment and Labor Law Updates".  This presentation will provide an overview of recent Wyoming and federal legislative activity that has resulted in an array of new employment laws for employers to manage. Applicable case law developments will also be discussed. Practical action steps will be offered for attendees to consider in their workplace’s practices.

    Learning Objectives:

    • Understand Wyoming’s new law regarding noncompete agreements.

    • Learn about how Wyoming defines overtime and who’s eligible.

    • Minimum wage law partial exemptions for students and younger workers.

    • Learn what posters are required to be prominently posted for employees.

    About our presenter - Jessy Bonds, Esq. helps members on a variety of employment law issues, including employment relation issues, and mitigating risk related to anti-discrimination, harassment, and retaliation laws. Jessy helps represent our members in state and federal EEOC cases, OSHA claims, and unemployment hearings. She enjoys presenting and training on legal topics such as Legal Issues for Human Resources, Discrimination in the Workplace, and Performance Documentation Skills. Jessy is a member of the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC were she advises on the Small Business Advisory Board.  

    Registration is $16 for HDHRA members and $21 for non-members.  Refreshments and resources are included. This presentation will be held at WWCC room 1003.  This education will be eligible for 1 hour of continuing education for professionals.
